Housing Options is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization, which relies on donations from individuals, corporations, and foundations for approximately 25% of its annual revenue.
There are a number of giving opportunities, including:

Nearly all of the agency’s expenditures – 87% in FY07 – go directly towards programs and services. This is much higher than the minimum 65% recommended by the Better Business Bureau’s Standards for Charitable Accountability and the 60% recommended by the American Institute for Philanthropy.
The agency is very efficient in its fundraising. In FY07, only $7 was spent on fundraising for every $100 raised, which is much lower than the maximum $35 recommended by the Better Business Bureau’s Standards for Charitable Accountability and the American Institute for Philanthropy.
