Home First

Housing Options opened its first building, Home First, in 1992. The building purchase and renovation was funded by the Illinois Housing Development Authority, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, the State of Illinois’ Division of Mental Health, and many private supporters.

This six-unit building is now home to ten residents following the conversion of the first floor community room  into a one bedroom apartment.
